Weird. H1's dropped straight into mine.

I'll double check tonight, but I was looking at the box last night and it said H1. I remember that factory it was a very small bulb, with a plastic "holder" adaptor thing which mates up to the standard headlight wiring. I did away with the whole bulb and plasitc holder, and fitted a H1 inplace which clamps down perfect fit, even with the that fiddly metal clamp holding the lightbulb in place.

I have H1 only for my high beams, H7 for my dipped beams, and T4W/233 for side lights.

Osiris - Is this for your dipped beams? Standard dip is definately H7, but maybe the H1 HIDS are an easier fit and saves the dremeling...? This would make things a lot easier for anyone wanting to fit HIDS...

Oh right maybe that's what the problem is.

I've definately got H1 system in there though. I just bought another set for my mate and it was H1, exactly the same bulbs as mine. I just compared. Weird.

Ok, now I'm completely confused, so H1's are for converting the full beam and H7's are for converting the normal headlights? So if I did the H1's I'd have to have my lights on full beam to get them to work wouldn't I? So I need H7's so the HID's are my standard headlights, correct?

Go by what everyone else is saying. I don't know why H1 worked in my standard low beam.

Checked with Kenny, he said that the brand was GHC, made in Korean. However, he's found another Korean make which is better quality and have smaller ballas. Also some other Jap makes as well.

Is it worth having the high beams done given their actual usage?
