    *** 2006 Club Events ***

This is the list of events that I am intending to organise this year. If there is no interest in any of them then I will spit my dummy out and you'll have to do it yourselves!
As always - if something catches your eye and it is not mentioned here then please shout out.

26th March. The Fast Show, Santa Pod. Possibly a club stand and RWYB. Last years thread.

31st March - 2nd April. Southern Meet 6, Isle of White. The sixth southern meet is doing it in style with a trip over the sea! There are some nice roads and some possible activities to keep everyone amused, plus some good deals on the ferry. Each Southern Meet so far has been well organised and attended, don't expect it to stop now!

20th May. Japfest, Castle Coombe. There will be a club stand and hopefully two club track sessions. Last years thread. This event is always well attended with it being the first big Japanese show of the season. I went on the track here last year and fully intend to do so again!

28th-29th May. Rotorstock II, Stratford. Involvement depends on requirements, but there should be some action available to those who want it! Last years thread.

24th-25th June. Japshow, Santa Pod. A club stand, 2 days of RWYB, overnight camping etc. Last years thread. The last two years have been great fun! Who can forget last years CVR4 dodgems track day?!!

16th July. Southern Meet 7 - South West Festival of Motoring, Taunton. A club stand and all in aid of charity. Full details will be updated on the thread, but looks like will be another quality Southern meet.

21st-23rd July. J.A.E., East of England Showground. A club stand at the biggest display of Japanese cars in Europe. Friday to sunday, with camping available. Last years thread. This is the real social event of the year. Camping for one or two nights with a good relaxed atmosphere. Not as much action as other events, but plenty to look at and some good quality time with fellow members.

3rd September. Trax, Silverstone. Club stand and track time. Last years thread. A good chance to drive the international circuit in your own car. There is plenty going on - Silverstone say the only day on their calendar bigger than this is race day for the F1!!

8th October. Japshow, Santa Pod. The showdown. Last years thread. This was a massive event last year. With BDA and SGHOM both out of the running in their VR4's this year - who will take the crown?

Sounds good, well done Nick you've managed to plan 7 events that aren't far for me to travel. Kate and I will attend as many as possible, especially the camping ones. Now do you lot camp properly or still have your mod cons like tents n stuff!

    Tents in the background!

Check out the Club VR-4 tab at the top of the page, then choose the gallery. Most events have photos to go with them!

Why do I get the impression that this years events may have extra entertainment?

For the first time, we currently have nothing in the way of any of these events!

Pencil us down for all of 'em - we may have to zap one of them because we've not booked a holiday yet, but here's hoping we dont!

P.S. Alex says she particularly wants to go to Trax, because she says all the other Club Widows say it's the best event - Errr?! Can someone explain?! Are the Chippendales in attendance there or summat?!!

/oh, and Alex has just spotted - 9th October is a Monday? Nick?

I think the only one I will be at this year is rotorstock as I want to compete. Japshow etc.. are not worth running at.
