    serious boost issue

    yes i have a 1998 legnum vr4 and before i decide to serious mod the car i jus put a boost gauge on it to see how much boost i was pushing and it was reading 7 pounds. on this website u said that standard boost is 10 pounds , wha happen to the 3 pounds?

    Try removing the battery for 1 minute, the engines ECU INSERT INTO post VALUES (Brain) should reset before that but 1 minute will ensure it has worked.
    If you use lower rated fuel than required or you have a bad batch of fuel it can disrupt the engines computer which will result in lower turbo boost, this is to protect the engine.

    If that doesn't cure the problem, check you boost gauge for air leaks.

    If that isn't the problem it could be any number of things usually an air leak from somewhere.

    Stock Boost

    Andre,
    My stock boost is about 7 psi on my VR4. You can increase your boost to 10psi without any problems. I've been running 10psi safely for over a year now & you feeeel that extra boost. Go for it.
