    3 from my youth!

found a few old pictures of 3 car's ive had in the past.... one of them was a wee bit different
sorry for the poor pic's "of the pic's" but they are getting on a bit!

first one and 1st car i owned
    Blue,1979 Mazda 323 1.3 i bought it from a traffic cop for £265!
my brother and i dropped a 3.1 ford V6 in to along with, RS2000 diff, ford 2.3 gearbox, capri ghia brake's and a custom made prop shaft i had it for 4yrs and was soooooooo much fun (note the ford sculpture wheel's) sold as we needed a bigger car (Jacque was pregnant) sold for £350 to a good freind who had it 3 mth's and "wrapped it"

second one and 2nd car i owned
my old MKIV Ford Cortina 2.3 Ghia which i bought for £50 stripped it and re-built the whole boot floor, inner and outer sill's ,15" alley cats "thee alloy to have " loved this big beastie, wood trim, plush velour, wood steering wheel was a touch of class in it's day sold for £375

third one and 3rd car i owned
another wee Mazda 323 1.4 GT sport (5 speed)
bought for £60 and past the MOT needing nothing good wee car but i never kept it long as it just wasn't like any of my last one's... think the alloy's came from a RX7 ??traded it for a MK 2 Cavalier 1.6, which i turned in to a 130 SRi

ive good/fond memories for each off them

none of my early driving experiences were road-going

being a farm boy i was used to sitting 8feet in the air with 150hp at my feet and about 20 controls at hand

driving cars is a doddle by comparison!

My parents had a V4 corsair when I was about 10. They said it was the best car they ever had. My mum loved it

Yes, absolutely loved the car. But time passes and you forget how much better newer cars are until you drive an older one again. But at the time yes it was the Mutt's.
Ian, yes, after an initial run with the 1500 cc in line four, it was updated in 1966 to a V4 1.7 and 2.0 with a few cosmetic changes inside and out, such as air vents on "D" posts and redesigned interior mainly dash board. Mine was only a 3.0 v6 due to the result of one of my projects!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wasn't an uncommon conversion along with many a MK2 Cortina (savage)

O am a bad man just woke him up and pizz'd him off as it took him a long time to get over owning the "JEFF UREN" edition MK 3, it had UREN along the bonnet where it would have had the letter's for FORD

3ltr V6 and it was either a 1972 or 73 MK3 Cortina he say's it was a very well tuned car, 0-60 -9sec's & 120+??he later swapped it for a MK1 Lotus escort which was stolen 2 mths later..... how much cash are both of them worth now? priceless!

WTF!! he aint kidding either found this

:Attempts were made to inject a bit of decent performance and handling into the Cortina when independent conversion specialist Jeff Uren introduced the 'Cortina Savage' in 1972. By slipping in the 3.0 litre V6 from the Ford Zodiac and uprating the suspension, carburation and brakes, the Savage pumped out 218 bhp at a giddy 6400rpm - taking it from 0-60mph in 7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 130mph.:
