Engine is now a bit cleaner!

I've just spent about an hour and a half cleaning my engine, first time I've ever done an engine and I think it came up ok.

    Much better!

Tyre cleaner on the black bits? What is CD2, some kind of de-greaser?

Kieran told me about it "I use CD2 as a starter. It's a Twin-Can product and can be found in your local Halfrauds. It is a 2-stage cleaner and detailer. The cleaner is okay, the detailer is excellent."
Just spray the engine with the first can, the cleaner, leave it 15 min, it eats into the crap, rinse it off with a soft spray from a hose, I used a watering can carefully, run the engine to dry it off, mop up any puddles, then spray on the detailer, leave it to set on the engine for 20 minutes and then run the engine to seal in the resin, just go for a short drive. That's off the top of my head, really easy to use, just have to remember to cover up the electrics like so:

Oh, and yes, the tyre stuff on the black bits. I'm also spraying up my battery clamp at the moment, it let the engine down, very grotty.

Very nice but looks like you could do with a bit more practise to perfect the process...

As such i will kindly offer my vehicles engine bay for you to have a try at too just to get it perfect, no need to thank me...
