you will find, that the new read method actually removes posts read, untill there is a new post created. so, say you have 10 posts, you read the first, go back to new posts, there will be 9 left, untill you have read them all.

Not really. Under the old version I used to log in, click new posts and they would be displayed. After I had read a post I then backpaged. The posts I had read would be in a thinner text so I knew what i had opened and what I hadn't. When I open new posts now and then backpage they are still there in the list with nothing to differentiate them from the other new posts I haven't read. If I then click on new posts on the menu bar the post I have opened does go away but it seems pretty cumbersome to have to do that all the time to remove them. If I had a list of 50 new posts to read I would like a quick easy way to let me know what I have read when I go through the list.

Back paging is not the same as refreshing
I just read this post clicked on new posts and this thread was not showing
Try clicking on NEW POSTS again after you have read a thread it will not show in new posts

I know the difference between backpaging and refreshing. It's just that the old system seemed to me to be pretty good. it worked on the same basis as other forums I belong to. Anyway, I'm sure I'll et use to it. We can't fight change now can we.

CVR4 Chat no longer appears by the who's online and newest member boxes at the bottom of the forum index page.
And the birthday list is not there - is that because there are no birthdays today? Or no birthdays for users that have been active in the last 28 days?

prolly cos there are no birthdays for active people - i didnt see the point of displaying birthdays for inactive people..

Just wondering, is there anyway we can get the images in posts to display as images again rather than links? I've looked around but I can't see the option, I'm probably just blind
