Vredestien Sportrac 2's - on recommendation from UnclePete - and very good they have been to...far better than the Michelin DitchFinders I had on before...
The Quest for Singletrack is Endless...
Avon's ZZR's ....swear by them now!!

Still here somewhere........
Dunlop Le Mans LM002 (I think) 205/55/16 89V (240km/h)
Pirrelli Pzero Assimetrico's really cant fault them, other than durability
Vredestein Wintrac Extremes! I like to be an individual. I love Vredestein more than any other (and like my rubber). Proxes in the summer just because Beastlee had them on, and they're actually very good in the wet.
Dick - your last tyres were Pirelli P6000s, that's why they were ditch finders - it doesn't get much worse (although they are usually good for the first 50 miles to be fair).
No more VR-4s left. It's all over.
think i answered? Dunlop Direzza 101 (225.40R18)

(although not so happy with them – less than 1 month old now and I can still wheel spin in 1st - 3rd gear even in the dry – handling is better than the slicks I had though he he...)
OOOHHH Yeaaarrr Baby!!!!
I have 2 (but only 1 and a half works)
Warning May contain NUT!!
Yeah they're great for 3000 miles¬!! Less if on track!Originally Posted by Gowf

I always go for a known budget brand cos unless im on a track there is only a marginal difference in grip when on the road and i cant see the point in spending loads of money on tyres to replace them so soon after fitting them if it was my g/f's fiesta then b/stones or g/year cos their cheap!
i have 235/45/17 nexen 3000 £32.70 on the front and 255/40/17 nexen 3000 £41.20 on the rear this way i can drive like an animal if i want without caring about tyre wear and these nexens grip just as much as the yoko's and toyo proxies i had before the only tyre i have had that was better was a slick but there illegal! awaome on the track though!
Toyo Proxes T1R 235/45/17
Just ordered 2 x Goodyear F1 XL Asymmetrics to go on the front - I hear the XLs have stiffer side walls. At the moment I've got Goodyear F1 GSD3s on the back so good to see how the Asys perform on the front.
GT Radial at front at the moment and Nankang something at the back
Putting on Faken 452's any day now
Had them on ST and liked them but have had GSD3's in the past and like them
For wet weather track time hoping to get Wintrac Extremes
le mans digi tire
probably been on there since it came from japan lol
how long do tires generally last?
ive never worn out a set of tires before
all the cars ive had have either come with bald tires or good ones lol
If they're the LM002's such as I had on my car, I found the outside edge of tread on the fronts wore down quickly - probably due to enthusiastic cornering.Originally Posted by Johny
As for the tyres themselves - they were speed rated to 240km/h but apart from that nothing particularly special.
ive done 11000 km on them so far and they dont seem to be worn at all
saying that i havent had the wheels off since i got it lol
