I had Yokohama Parada Spec 2's on my Mondeo V6 and they were brilliant, apart from wearing out quickly

Stuck wan-li's on the back of the skyline to sell it and they were lethal.

Looking at a full set of Parada 2's now as all 4 tires need doing.

    I have so far used:
    Falken FK451, 235/45/17
    Federal Super Steel 595, 225/45/17
    Yokohama AO46, 235/45/17
    Michelin Pilot Primacy, 235/45/17
And this morning I have had Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas put on, also in 235/45/17.

So far, I would have to say the Falkens were the best. The Federals were awful for everything except longevity. I'm glad I didn't pay the RRP for the Michelins.

I'll add feedback on the Vredesteins when I have hed them for a while.

The FK451 has now been replaced by the FK452, but those would be the only tyre from the list above I would buy again.

    Yoko, wears too quick.
Federals are like driving on a skid pan.
    Michelins are too expensive.

Currently have 225/40R18s on the VR-4 and 235/45R17s on the Evo.
    Both sets are Eagle F1s.

The time has come for me to buy some more tyres. Looks like I should be going for the Eagle F1's then. Anyone know the best place? I normally get mine from blackcircles.com (they are £98 delivered) but if anyone knows of anywhere cheaper, I'm all ears! PS I have standard wheels.

You 225/50/16 as per the spec sheet on this site? If so then they're £86 per tyre delivered, or £98 per tyre fully fitted here: http://www.tyretraders.co.uk/ I usually find them to be the cheapest.

looking for 2 new tyres for my FTO. the standard ones are 205-50-16 - not sure the size of the rims, but they are stock. Was going to see if I can stretch 215-45-16 on for a better choice.

Looking at bridgestone RE-11, RE-0001 or similar, not keen to go with GSD3's as I want quieter ones.

Does anyone have RE-11 or RE-001 on their can that can comment on noise and grip levels?

I take it that you're not sure of the width because the rim size is indicated by the "16"?

you will find the stock 205-50-16 is the most regular size and will have more tyre choice
215/45 is a bit odd, and will most likely not be held on shelf

Bridgestone Potenza RE001 Adrenalin, (Asymmetric tread)

make sure you get the numbers right, because there are others in the lineup, re11 looks a semi slick?

i have the RE001's brilliant tyre for the money IMO,
quieter than my old gsd3(directionals) stick better in corners, and no screaming yet (maybe havent tried hard enough yet)

the T1Rs have soft side walls apparently,

Ryan has the toyo PX4, there quiet, and are a all round touring type tyre,

RE11 seem to be close to semi slicks but apparently handle well in the wet.

RE001 Assametric adrenalines are my second choice, the price seems to be quite similar. The T1R are slightly cheaper but the soft side wall is an issue for me.

The RE-11's are closer to a semi-slick as they have a soft compound and less tread depth than "normal" tyres.

The RE-001's are closer to a normal road tyre as they have a harder compound. There is also a RE-002 as well with has a similar pattern to the RE-11 but the Re-001 compound(well close) and tread depth.
