Derek,
Have they got a seperate height and pre-load adjustment? It looks to me like you are winding up the pre-load and not the height.

"You have obviously mistaken me for someone who gives a s**t!"
My thoughts exactly. There should be appreciable clearance increase if you've used the full length of the height adjustment.Originally Posted by Rally205
Usually the adjusted range is slightly larger for the front compared to the rear. For example - the Tein HA adjustment range is - 70mm front and 45mm rear.
If yours are in the same order of adjustment range, you should see at least 40mm change in height.
If you have another adjusting ring below the two at the base of the spring then that's the one to adjust the height with. If there isn't any other adjusting rings below the two at the base of the spring then height is adjusted by changing the spring preload (ie squeezing the spring). Pretty sure that's the way of it...... best check with Mo I reckon.
Hope that helps
Hi,
You should be adjusting the whole bottom part of the shock (the part with the 17mm hole that bolts at the bottom), and the locking ring.
see here they should be the same as the D2

Still not got a 'key' to pre-tension the springs, & I suppose it's a bit of guesswork at 1st , setting the ride height etc.
If it goes pear shaped I'll try kicking 'em............ usually works !!
did you get this sorted d
yep Rich.. sort of ??Originally Posted by richy rich
I changed it this morning, & now I've the correct......... err........ slightly better ride height.
I still think the spring rate is too harsh, but It's a bit of guess work to get it right.
Has anyone got any measurements of the best distance from the top to the bottom of the spring ?? I know D2's or Daiyama's may be different ??
so this is a fast change then d
is it a week and counting
took me 30 mins to adjust. then it's out on the road to test........... & then back to work
still 6 days tho
gimme a break man !!Originally Posted by richy rich

I really....... REALLY.. need to get the fronts sorted ASAP.
I'll give Mo a call & get my fronts swapped with his next week. only then can I get it set up correctly.
If I dont, then It's goodbye RT3
get your finger out then d
Yeah, sort it out, D!!
Hi Derek,
My D2 settings are on the link below, hope all works out, If the suspension is set up too harsh the car will skip over bumps on corners (causing you to loose contact with the tarmac), good luck.

I think it looks just right in the last picture I have made my Legnum look like that in the past with a 42" Plasma (and the box, packaging etc) in the back as well as 4 desktop computers

or should I say Barry & Wouter will !!
Ok... just 'softened' the suspension somewhat !!
the spring rate was set for a go-cart or something ! I can call at the dentists now to have my fillings put back.
Oh for a bl00dy garage.
what about ride hight
ride height is slightly lower now I've 'released' the spring tension. I'll take a look in the morning when the ride has settled down. may need to lift it another 5mm or so.Originally Posted by richy rich
