just for the record one post-it note will fit right down there, probably not two though
i would get spacers dude (or new wheels )
if you get something hard (or even not so hard) try to wedge in there youre going to damage something.
bu..bu...but I just got theseOriginally Posted by Kenneth
but then what if you have a 10mm gap and you have an 11mm stone try and jump in there?
obviously there is a greater chance to have a 2mm or 3mm stone fly up, but I don't think it would be that bad
yeah, i know... its a bit of a bugger really. 5mm spacers might be easy enough to get though.Originally Posted by You See
Sorry to be negative straight up, should have remembered to say that they still look cool
the rotors are the best part
But there's less of a chance of a 1mm stone flicking up! (even then, I don't think it'll fit)Originally Posted by bradc

looking good, who'd you end up getting the bolts from??
Iv got these lying around if you want to give them a go, 7mm. Just cheap trademe jobs, i had on the rear of the STR. Probably not worthy of your shiney wheels and brakes. but hey, I'll bring them to the workshop. Only got 2 tho...
Reckon it looks good as is, might get hot tho
They managed to source them from an engineering firm in Penrose, dunno the name of the place tho.Originally Posted by Gly
Yeah bring them, I'll test them out and see how they look...might get some VHT Paint just in case.Originally Posted by mpau009
I would be tempted to put very thin spacers on. I have been led to believe that the wheels can flex slightly under certain conditions and the brakes can expand slightly when hot. I'd be nervous if the clearance is just one post it!
Thanks guys, upon all your recommendations, think I'll put on the spacers on Sunday...will just have to take it easy(ish) till then.
...Better safe than sorry!
Those wheels are gorgeous (well done on the brakes BTW) what are they?
The best things in life have to be lubricated
yeah man they are lovely.
VR4s, interesting aint they .....
I've been using Brembos on VR-4s for the best part of four years and never had a problem with clearance
S60R | GT-R
artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity
They are Enkei RP02 18" mags purchased new for about $500
But you've been using wheels specifically designed to go over them!!Originally Posted by H.7
$700 to be exact....tyres additional.Originally Posted by bradc
Well, yeah but there's still only a gnat's whisker's clearance ...Originally Posted by Nick Mann
