Beware the ghost TVR of Greenwich....

My other half wanted to try taking some pics using the extra features on his new digital SLR that his old one wouldn't do so went out and had a play at taking some of my TVR the other evening....

Got this rather spooky shot using rear curtain sync whatever the hell that is....

Very strange effect but i think it's kinda cool. Wasn't aware my car actually went fast enough to turn transparent but hey....

Very cool photo - could lead to a very stealthy picture of a VR4 for next years calendar.

Could you give details of the camera please?

It's a Canon EOS 30D, not sure what he is using in the way of lenses/flash module etc though.

Rear sync (or rear curtain) flash means that, in a long exposure, the camera opens the shutter, then at the end of the exposure fires the flash (i.e. the opposite to a normal exposure, where the flash fires at the start)

It means you can get shoot things like light trails in the dark, and still light up the subjects in the shot at the end. If you take a long exposure shot of something moving with the flash at the start, it will look as if it has moved backwards, since the subject will appear where it was at the start of the exposure with trails extending forward from it.

    Nice shot btw
