    No Reverse Lights... help..

    Hi Lads

Right, when i got the legnum the lights worked... but ive been pretty busy since.

When I finished working on it today the reverse lights wernt working...

I havnt checked the fuse yet... but anyone got other ideas... i doubt itll be the fuse.. do the reverse lights have a fuse all of their own?

I recently installed a quickshift... any cables i could have dis-lodged in the gear stick area?

    Ideas appeciated.

Its not that easy to find - I had a job, even knowing it was there.

Club VR-4 Forums > Club VR4 Members Area > Library > Services & Maintenance gets you to this thread which has a whole lot of service manuals.

The bit you want is in the pic below (red circle), although I'm not sure where the other end of the cable ends up.

    problems solved i think.

After finding the reverse sensor.... it turned out to be nothing to do with it.. heh

    It was my new quickshift...

It was engaging reverse fine... but no lights... i managed to get them working a few times by adding some force into the reverse throw.

So it seems the short shift is a touch tooooo short.

    It is adjustable though...

    Thanks for the help all.

    Wel, yet another change.

I fitted the OEM stick today and the problem still exists...

Basically, i can get the rear lights to flash if i put it into reverse with force... but its not the new quickshift.

    Any ideas?

In the meantime ill order a new reverse sensor anyway and try my best to both find it and replace it...

Got a new reverse switch (£16)

Fitted today and jackpot... lights working again!

Might add a guide in the members area to do this, finding info wasnt easy... and getting the thing off the gearbox was a right

    Anyways... happy!
