    Oils...

... this may seem like a stupid question..
but what other oils may i need to fill up on before driving?

    gearbox..
i see a bolt on the front of the engine with says "OIL".. does it go in there? and if so, how the hell? its facing forwards.... is there another nut somewhere? on top perhaps?

ok without going into it to much..
if my engine was dry of all oils.. what would i need?
obviously engine oil is in just now..

i just did a search but i think most of its relating to the auto boxes..

bear in mind i have a manual car.. INSERT INTO post VALUES (and i am not afraid to use it)

A good engine oil to use is Mobil 1 0-40 Fully Synthetic INSERT INTO post VALUES (4.5 litres). I did alot of research as a student and this is by far the best oil on the market. They did a test once - drove a BMW 1 million miles on Mobil 1 INSERT INTO post VALUES (serviced regularly) and the engine parts were still within manufacturers tolerances when they finished!!

A good gearbox oil is required too, about 4-5 litres if I remember correctly. If you go to Halfords they will point you int he right direction. I know that you shouldn't fill the automatic with any oil other than Mitsi oil as it is a special Spec that they use to enable the INVECS to work properly.

Don't forget a good power steering fluid also, and some decent brake fluid
