"Finishing second means you are the first person to lose"................ (Gilles Villeneuve)
You've gotta pull the seats out...
First the horizontal (ass) part - pulling the tags...there are 2 (1 on each side) the seat should simply pull out.
Secondly is the vertical (back) part - there are 3 bolts which are visible once you remove the first part, undo these and lift the seat up to remove.
Once done you should see a round rubber cover, remove this and it should expose the 2 top bolts for the shocks.
Good luck!
didnt i do one?

oh, and as ive got Dereks Car at home, i can take photos of a legnum, and where the shocks are in comparison to the galant..
cheers............................how did derek get to germany if you have his car?
Hes superman, or didnt you know that?
its a piece of pis.. tony, remove sides of seats as already described, undo the two 14mm nuts at the top.
remove wheel and the 17mm bolt at the bottom of the shock, a bit of wiggly and it pops out
swap springs / fit new springs and fitting is a reversal of removing - job done!

i can do the shocks no problem the thing i wanna know is ...i have split rear seats so when i fold them both down i'm left with the side parts i'v tryed pulling them but they dont move is there a trick to this? i dont wanna brake something
That's why you need to remove the Bottom part of the seats Tony. This gives you access to the bolt that holds down the side parts. I think it's a 14mm? You'll spot it easy. remove this bolt and you can then push the sides upwards and out the way.
yup, as kieran said.. sorry i didnt do the article.. i took a pic of the 17mm on shock, but then noticed all the crap on my back seat, and in the foot wells, gave up at that point..
sorry.
cheers all i thought you see was talking about a vr-4 which i belive dont have split rear seats. it all makes sence now
