I e'mailed Denson a while ago enqiring about uk disks straight swap heres the reply
thought about jag or ford both use denso systems

it took some time but finally we can send you our reply.

Unfortunately DENSO does not supply navigation systems to Mitsubishi.
More importantly, the structure of map data is fundamentally different between JP and EU systems - the quantity and variety of data is much greater in the JP case. So, it is impossible to use an EU disc in a JP system.

I already knew that. The Japs use NAVIKEN, where most EU systems are based around Teleatlas data.

The MMCS doesn't use data from Denso anyway - it's all done by Mitsubishi's Sumitomo wing.
