260 bhp ecu

My car has the ecu that delivers 260 bhp,and i get the impression that the newer ecu's are hard to get hold of. If i was to get my car 'chipped' would this give me 280bhp+ in a way that it compensates for the existing 20bhp plus whatever else the car can produce.

A piggy back ecu and a boost controller should remove any difference between pre and post facelift VR4's. They are mechanically the same so boost and map them the same way and you should get the same results.

Nick's got it, there is very little differance between them, so I wouldn't worry too much.
