I guess he just started it at a low reserve. If you read the comments he wants $8500 for it
Seller replies, hmmm. No wonder he is selling it. He does not even know how to use it, properly. "Takes 91 and premium. WHatever you choose - runs better with premium though."
We work to live, and to live is to drive a VR-4, around corners at speed. But it costs see here
Also spotted on Trademe
"Mitsubishi Proton 1991 333,000 km $120,000
"Mitsubishi Colt MIVEC 2003 Buy Now: $110500 50,000 km $80,000
I thought that once an item for sale on TradeMe had reached it's reserve, it couldn't be withdrawn (except by TradeMe Admin). Or am I wrong yet again?

Heh, That guy complaining about the no reserve listing is classic.
You can actually remove auctions once the reserve has been met, I did it just last week when I discovered a small hole in the Intercooler I was selling.
The only limit put on withdrawing auctions is that you can't withdraw if the auction is within 60mins of closing.
It's a bit of a bung setup with the Trademe cars at the moment as far as educating people is concerned. People pay 25 bucks to advertise their car there, just as they would in a mag. They have every right to advertise elsewhere and accept an offer through other means. Alot of people complain about "legally binding contracts", but those require a signature. All there are is Trademe rules.
This one is a bit different than the norm though. The only reason why these guys put a no reserve auction up when they have reserve in mind is to attract attention and get it up the "Hot" list. That's had 2000 hits so far, which is a hell of alot more than any other VR4 listed.
That is not correct, only a contract to sell land needs to be in writing and signed. A legally binding contract basically only needs an offer and acceptance and certainty of its terms. For trademe the contract comes into place when the auction closes and the reserve is met because that is when there is an offer and acceptance and the purchase price is certain.Originally Posted by Muppsy

Dodgy bastard. Hope he gets banned.
The worthless piece of s#@t has relisted the car. Everybody complain about this listing and post questions!!!
