maybe it is, maybe it isn't
There is a possiblity the pictures are not of the actual vehicle... happens a fair bit.
Being a pre-facelift auto, it is only 260ps... not 280. One lie, many lies?
Never seen a VR4 with no exhaust cut out. I am thinking donor car.Originally Posted by Kenneth

There is a guy selling one on Trade Me at the moment saying that it is a "rare Type-S" and does 10L/100km...now those are lies. See: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...950&key=279931
Those pictures are not the vehicle being advertised... Wether the lie is that the photos are not his, or he is telling lies about the vehicle I dont know. I WILL post the question though.Originally Posted by Rossco Type-S

As soon as you stick your foot on the floor, you are a gonna though
"Just as a heads up, the pre-facelift tiptronic Legnum VR-4 is slightly de-tuned to 260ps, rather than 280ps. You will also find that it is AYC (Active Yaw Control) rather than AYS. Also, the picture showing the exterior looks to be at odds with your advertisment, is that a picture of the actual car?"

What you see out the front wind screen of the car in the interior pic is consistent with the location of the car is in the profile pic. The cars dash has AYC on it, showing that has come from a VR4, but the car looks like an ST-R or at least the back is from a ST-R. I reckon crash damaged or donor car.Originally Posted by Kenneth
It has the high vis dash and a 5 speed tip box, so it has to be a vr-4. Only facelift 4cyl 2.4l cars were made with a 5 speed tip box, all prefacelift nonturbos had 4 speed autos.
The lack of an exhaust cutout is strange though, maybe it had been crashed and repaired?
Forgot to say, I normally get 10l/100km out of it, and I can get it to 8.5l/100km if I drive really slowly
It is completely debadged, maybe it has been made not to look like a VR4 on purpose?
But how many people know about the exhaust cutout, and who would actually replace the rear bumper for one without the cutout? Seriously I doubt even half the people on this site know that VR-4's have the cutout and normal ones don't.
I have actually seen one spec of Legnum with a cutout, but it was much much smaller than the normal VR-4 one, and the exhaust size was about this size O (actual size)
Not sure the front bumper is a VR4 one either. Hard to tell from that angle though.
Surely at least 80% would realise VR4s are the only pre-facelift leggys with a cut-out
Yeah, it's been mentioned in several threads that you drive like rigor mortis has already set in.Originally Posted by bradc

The guy responded to Kenneths question and said it is the actual car and is a VR4 - something dodgy going on.
Was having a chat with Gly... agreed that it looks like it may have had rear-end repair done on it
I think it is a donor car with VR4 bits. No V6 badges on side, front bumper doesn't look quite right either.Originally Posted by Kenneth
I'm pretty sure those aren't VR-4 wheels either... they look more like the ones off an FTO. Similar, but the grooves in the spokes are more rounded, less scallopped.
I think he's lying... and that we should kill him.
Check out my band at www.battlecircus.com
well if we do carry out your *brilliant* plan Jaimz, can I have the vr-4 badge at the back?
He didn't like my question!!!
