What type of rear suspension set-up does the Legnum have? Does it use leaf springs on the rear, like many estates do, to cope with the load it carries?

No, its spring over shock just like the front. the springs arn't as heavy as the front though.

If your rear suspension is a bit screwed, getting it replace will make a load of difference to your handling
