Wish I had known, I live about 2 miles from the yard! You could have come round for tea!

I also went to look on my way home..........its a bit wrecked up front but not all that bad........could be expensive to repair, I reckon its a parts only car. I was thinking of switching to LPG but couldn't really figure out how it worked on this car. I would leave well alone for a repair INSERT INTO post VALUES (bad experience) but for parts it could be an earner.........a lot of the panels are chipped or dented though :INSERT INTO post VALUES (

i was hoping to rebuild it so i could use it on lpg , i did fire it up and it had a sweet engine. what would u estimate the cost excluding the airbags, those guys quoted me £1500.00 to repair it.

£1500 to repair it sounds like a good deal.................if you could get it for £3000 repaired that sounds like a good deal! The gas conversion probably cost about £1500! Think of all the cash you would save.............15mpg at 80p per litre versus 30mpg at 35p per litre. Daves quick cals show:


VR4= £7.26 to drive 30 miles :Cry1:

V6 LPG = £1.59 to drive the same 30 miles :eek: bargain!

drive just 16000 miles and the car has paid for itself INSERT INTO post VALUES (in a manner of speaking)

Go for it! Think of all the ICE you could install........ooooooh a 42" Plasma screen that pops up from the boot floor..............................You know you want to!

I wouldn't bother with the turbos, would be far too expensive and difficult. Would need to rebuild the engine with lower compression, change the engine controller etc etc etc. Just whack more nitrous in until it goes pop!!!! V6 engines must be 10 a penny compared to VR4 ones! I bet you could get 150BHP of nitrous in there giving way over 300BHP!
