How long did the FPR upgrade take? From reading Bern's article it does sound like it could be a tricky/fiddly job... Was engine bay covered in fuel after disconnecting original FPR?

Well, Rich kinda did it for me so considerably less time that it would have taken me, but still probably 2 hours. An inlet pipe full of fuel dripped out when disconnected but it wasn't much. The only problem I had is that the FPR works, but the gauge doesn't seem to work.

once the bracket has been moded and read though the how to. then try and find out why the gauge isnt working then.

    then only about 1/2h -1hr

Steve Ive got your 10mm spanner sorry mate

only 2 sets of lifters done because that was all the cars there for it to be done.

so it ended up a piss around with cars weekend.

well cheers for a good laugh this weekend gents

not a difficult job, I bet Steve 'not technical' Spanners could get it done with a bit of help in under 4 hours... depending on how many bolts get dropped, spanners lost, threads stripped and screws shear off...

welll at least the elusive spanner isn't going to drop somewhere in the engine bay like a proverbial, eh Steve?

Everyone knows the superior wheelsbase of the Legnum makes for better handling ability and the super amounts of lag in an EVO means my car would be quicker than yours to 60. And the dyno you use isn't as good as the dyno I use.

On a serious note, I did a fair bit of mechanicing this weekend and am very proud of myself, just ashame my engine decided to swallow that 10mm spanner but i'm sure it'll come out sooner or later

Good to see you again Tim, until next time

Hey Tim - good to see you again, the EVO is looking Goooood!

I have re-fitted my cat and now the car is somewhat more civilised and is less likely to land me with an ASBO or a Divorce!

Only problem is now, It's pegging back the car at high RPM! Now i've got rid of the standard system, the cat is now the biggest restriction, sasserfrasserrasser! How much are sports cats again?!

I bet our host is back outside under the car plugging that hole in the rad, just wonder if he remembers to get the broken screw out of that front compressor at the same time while there's space to get at it...

    bet not.

Feck. Another top meet missed - this time not due to work. Bloody boiler innit? Supposed to be all done Friday evening - teach me for getting a 'm8' from Gritish Bas to do it. Left at midnight Friday, still not done. Couldn't carry on on Sat as I was working (and he was fishing ). So Sunday it was.

In the past month, PC has died, Clothes drier has died, boiler has died.

Lucky I'm as rich as flippin' rockafella innit!?
