the cream looks better in real life , the photo's don't do it justice , the lack of power will be bit of a let down for you until you reach the first roundabout and you feel the ayc work , first time you see the 3 little lights you will love it even more
I took a bloke out in my VR on Saturday, who was used to 500bhp 2wd Cossies and now owns a 300+bhp 2wd R33, soon to be banging on the door of 500bhp. He said that the VR felt faster than his R33 and if he had tried to drive his R33 like i drove the VR round the twistys ? It would no longer be in 1 pieceOriginally Posted by Podman
With a few gadgets added to a VR, you won't be lacking in power

6 seconds to 60 (5 with a boost controller and exhaust) when the rain is lashing down is an impressive thing indeed!! IMO traction is the main thing the VR4 has in it's advantage, especially in the rain. The power delivery and handling mean everything happens in a very controlled way. I would imagine in the dry that the VR4 will seem a bit tame compare to a 400+BHP car, but in the wet it will out perform a whole load of cars that it has no right to.Originally Posted by Podman
Brunty's car is a facelift, which means it has 280 rather than 260 bhp as standard, but also the newer hub-carriers. The bonus of the hub-carriers is that they will take Evo brembos. Thus a cheap easy to find brake upgrade is easily had!
Comfort, style, performance, traction, value for money. Sums up the VR4 for me!
Good luck viewing the car.
/ends the sales rant!!
I have an Apexi AVCR left over from my previous car, that I guess would do as the boost controller. What boost can they be set too and what is taht compared to standard ?
Hi Podman
The default setting is around 0.5-0.7 bar - most boosters run around 1 bar with no issues .
If you are free tomorrow why not come down to Mallory Park and see what they handle like on the track
Must back what people say about Brunty's car it is very nice indeed
