From The Telegraph newspaper:

"Producers of the Lord of the Rings musical are on the look out for actors - preferably with "hobbit-like tendencies" who can sing two songs.
Auditions are to be held to find 20 hobbits for the musical, ahead of its move to London's Theatre Royal in 2007.

Potential applicants should be under 5ft 7ins (170cm) and aged 16-35. Hairy toes and feet are a "distinct advantage," said producers."

For a short while I lived in a shared house with an 'actor' who auditioned for the hobbit roles in the movie.....he was about 6'3" and 18 stone!

Typical 'actor' in so much as he was a 'barman' who occasionally went to auctions; in all the time I knew him he only secured one acting job and that was a 3sec part on a margarine commercial.

Steve would be much more suited to the role - 5'8" maybe in Kate's heels!

Nah, I don't have the mental abilities of that 'super hero'.

I thought I'd be an 'Ent' ........... tall, decrepit, old, slow moving tree. (Love the way they talk in the film.)
