    Stainless steel pipes

    Hi All

I have decided to have a go at making a hard pipe kit ( after looking at K's new one at Japfest)

So the question is does anyone know a company that sells lengths of 3" stainless pipes and pre mandrel bent pipes to varoius angles .

If I manage to get thinsg together then I will right a how not too guide

    Cheers in advance
    John

You'd be better off buying a new front number plate - it's ruining the pictures

3" is tricky, 2.5" is much much easier.......although with the current trend for large bore pipes things may be changing.

I used to get all my bends done by a local powerflow dealer, but they couldn't do 3". I bought the shiny mirror finish stainless from a local stockists, about £100 for 6m. Bends used to be about £10 each to do for me...............

I reckon the cusco kit is a good buy from RHDjapan.

Ive looked into doing this and worked out both more expensive and time consuming, so i bagged a cusco one.

Im in the process of making up intercooler pipework for my car and alos the front turbo intake pipe which bends and changes shape like crazy.

If however you wish to proceed, I have a contact who can get you bends and lengths to order for a reasonable price.. PM me if you want his email address.

    Hi Scott

Did think about buying one direct but wanted to see about re-routing some of the pipes to make it shorter etc , also adding a bov near the top of the engine .

The cost is not an issue more case of having fun

Like I said if I can come up with a design nice and easy then will not a howto , next stage woulld also be the intake

now is there a college course for welding near me
