    rumbling noice

Can anyone advise? I have just bought a Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 Privately. When I drive the car a get a terrible rumbling noice, which sound and feel like soothing loose and spinning under the car. I have a Jag once and a central clap that supported the drive shaft came away, so the drive shaft hit the under body. Does anyone know what it could be?

Thanks for the information; the problem seems to be more apparent when I have turned a corner. The noise sounds like something turning like a loose prop shaft.

This could a simple as tyre noise
Depending on what you are driving on and what tyres you have
I had a set of Yoko's but different trye threads front and back and depending on road surface it was very noisy or very quite
I know have Continental and thats the same one road it quite another is noisy
    Sounds like a rumbling
