Whilst that is a very generous offer, what would you give for the car?

Good luck mate. That's what I had to do. Had Mini Coopers, Cooper S's and a couple Datsun 260Z's before we had kids. Spent years then with a variety of mundane company cars etc. However, now the offspring have cars of
their own I spend more time "playing" than I did before

What is the general concensus about the value of such a car?

If you want a serious price, I would suggest 4000-5000 pounds for it

bradc, is this in relation to NZ values or UK values?

I remember a client of mine (from NZ) taking a used 911 Turbo back to NZ as a personal import as it was worth more than £10,000 extra compared to the UK.

I mean UK values. Both Ritch's car and Steve's car are in immaculate condition and are superb cars, and are probably worth 6-7000 pounds. The reason I think Dave's car is worth less is because it has high miles on it, has a lot of modifications and hasn't had the easiest of lives either. If you are seriously looking at buying a VR-4 I would recommend you buy either Ritch's car or Steve's car depending on whether you want a wagon or sedan.

If you think you are going to be spending a lot on mods and modifying the car, then going for Dave's is a better bet because most of the mods are already done.
