I nearly got one of these when i was 21 (had a bashed wing and needed a headlamp) but couldn't afford the ridiculous insurance of £400 - a kings ransome at the time!

what are they called?

ohh the missus had one of them Mitsubishi Sigma. lol. she brought it off her uncle for $20. and petrol would last for 2 weeks on $20. we would go to town from porirua and back again and then to the hutt, then back home and the needle wouldnt have moved.

non-turbo of course!

what are they called?

over here it was simply "Colt Galant 2000 Turbo" this was before Mitsubishi was used as the brand name in early 80's

They were called Sigma's in Aus too.
