He has a open diff on the back , when it senses that one wheel is spinning it will divert all power to that wheel , not good . An lsd will lock both wheels so that when one starts to slip the other will be rotated at the same rate thus lock both wheels .

Hope this helps a little , if not then read this

However, just the 3-differential layout alone cannot cope with the basic requirement for 4WD - provides superior grip in the worst roads. In real world driving, for instance, when pushing the car over its limit in corner, or running on slippery surface, tyre slip is inevitable. When a wheel loses traction, a normal differential will transfer nearly all the driving torque to that wheel. As a result, the spinning wheel will spin even wilder, but the wheel that having traction will never share driving torque, therefore the car will be difficult to get out of the trouble. This problem occurs in all kinds of car, no matter 2-wheel drive or 4WD, but it is relatively more important to 4WD because 4WD cars are designed to run in worse roads or cornering harder.

Therefore 4WD cars (or even many latest 2WD sports cars) need Limited Slip Differential (LSD). A LSD lock up both drive shafts whenever tyre slip occurs, thus helps the car get out of trouble quickly. The result is enhanced stability and even higher cornering limit.

In fact, LSD is the core of 4WD technology. There are several types of LSD: Torsen LSD, Viscious Coupling LSD, VC differential lock and Active LSD. They have different effectiveness, characteristic and cost so that car makers choose them according to their needs. Now we are ready to look deeper inside these 4 types of LSD.

My calculations are based around 1400kg as I will be sat in it. Although the car is very stripped down and has lightweight bits it also has a very heavy iron engine! A bog standard V6 Capri is around 1250kg so your initial estimate is not far out but you didn't factor in 130kgs of me and that big block!

It will be around 450-500 initially before I start adding Nitrous. On the basis that I can add 150+ to 2.5 litres I should be able to add up to ~450 on my 7.2 litres. The only problem will be making sure the nitrous system can cope!

With these numbers traction permitting low 9s should be acheivable.

That was the plan, but the room was not available

Because the downpipes had to be so close together, and the fact the angle that the pipes needed to rake back was steeper than in my pictures in order to avoid interference with the front tyre I had to compromise and have a 'gattling gun' I tried to avoid it but there was really no other way without a complete redesign.

Nope i figured it about spot on.. I figured the 1250 for the stock Capri.. Then figured the stripped out interior and well anything that wasn't needed(Inc fuel tank i expect) Then figured for the extra weight of roll cage and of the big block addding up to about the strip out + old engine

But I Wasn't adding on your weight
