    Post 1/4 mile times

    Check this out;

    Legnum VR4; 350 bhp does a 14.01 1/4 mile
    Zedy; 400bhp does a 14.03 1/4 mile
    Bigdaveakers; 360 bhp does a 14.7 1/4 mile onder:

    Quite some differences

I have a Mustang with estimated 400 bhp and does a 13.8 1/4 mile and thats with wheel spin INSERT INTO post VALUES (no 4wd)

p.s. I haven't had the Legnum on the track yet so I thought I would throw the Mustang in as a guide.

    explanations anyone ?

I may be wrong but I don't think Mo or Dave have had either dyno tested so they are estimated figures and Dave did not have his boost set perfectly when he ran that time at Pod - may be different now ?

Also Mo has a huge amount of weight in the boot with his ICE stuff which will slow him down a bit.

I haven't Dyno mine yet and my numbers are what I think the car currently has.

The car is stock with 280bhp INSERT INTO post VALUES (later model ECU).
Fujitsubo Exhaust is good for 18-20bhp.
    Boost about 40bhp
    Filter/cat gone 10bhp

The Legnums are heavier than the Galants so I maybe just as heavy as Mo's car if not more.

I had wheel spin off the line when I did the 14.01 1/4 mile. Would have cut a 13 that day.

Also, there's more power loss through a 4WD transmission than through 2WD so 400bhp at the flywheel with 2WD will get more power to the wheels than the same flywheel power with 4WD.

Pete is right, I did not have my boost set up right as I had only installed the controller the day before, my Apexi was telling me I pulled 220BHP at the wheels, which is only a little more than I got when it was standard. This could be due to many factors, I am regularly seeing 260+ at the wheels now, sometimes 270! Should make a difference! As for Mo having loads of weight in the boot, I had loads of weight in the driving seat! 20 stone or thereabouts!

Who is going to be first to se 13s? Then 12s?!

I fancy it may be one of NZ members as it is summer there and the drags are open, we have to wait until the end of january, and even then we may have a snow covered 1/4 mile!:Cry1:

There is already one member i know of who drives an auto Legnum VR-4 doing a 13.8 1/4 mile. He has exhaust, boost intercooler, water sprayers and larger injectors INSERT INTO post VALUES (I don't think the injectors are need at this stage, i think he was planing ahead for the turbo mods).

If i had the chance i would have gotten a manual model of the Legnum VR-4. You don't loses power through the trans like the auto.
