Gear Box cooler

I am currently looking at a ATF cooler and seeing what i can get through work.
currently trying to get a selection that Kieren recomended from here

But as these have the possibility of over cooling the oil or increasing warm up time. If a temperature stat is not used.
I have thought about an oil to water cooler.(Self contained cooler)HERE As this will help warm up the oil quicker and will stabilise the temperature at about 90deg C possible a bit higher.
Doing this will mean i dont need an temp stat.
This could be for both Engine and gearbox.
basically will this idea work the only reason i can think of is will it over stress the cooling system of lack of space

true and most of the time it sits in the barn whilst i run around on diesel you paid for but when it does get dragged out it could do with one , especially when towing

funny you should mention that , due to an admin cock up , my house doesn't exist so i pay nothing towards my own wages or fuel

Currently looking at free stuff I can get though work or have currently at work.(Ally Gear Knob Next week and any thing else )
Was thinking that having the cooler running with the water system it would stabilize rather than a cold shock possibility.
