I've been wondering about this for a while.. since I saw it on this picture, as well as this one..
and this one..
So do you guys know if this is OE? Which year/version did it come in?. Where can I get it?

pic 2 looks like a super rare "Super VR-4"
all pics look like Evo VI spoilers tho....
BMW E60 525i (3.0) M-Sport.
We were actually thinking of copying an EvoVII wing, making the blade fit just right on the Galant bootlid. Meh.
The first car is a facelift car, and as such the spoiler wouldn't have been standard on that car.
The second one is a Super VR-4 and those ones came with that spoiler standard.
As for the third one, it may be a Super VR-4, it is a bit difficult to tell.
Hmm.. so would that mean I can get the spoiler from Mitsubishi Japan?
ive attached images.

It would be a lot of work to get one from Japan, it's probably easier to get an aftermarket one.
If you can get a chassis number for a super Vr4, Mitsubsihi 'should' be able to get you one.
Plus they sell super vr4 spoilers on ebay iirc.
it looks from the CAPS diagram that the Super VR-4 spoiler has a support in the middle
which would make it more like this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUPER-VR-4-Rea...QQcmdZViewItem
Shame you cant see the back of the middle photo as that looks like a pukka super so the spoiler should be like this http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/attachm...4&d=1165200150
The first spoiler (the one you like?) looks, as said before, to be from and Evo like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsu...66052139QQrdZ1

ooh I really want that spoiler (The one above)
Meh. I just realized that the ebay item on g6acb's post is fabricated and not from the factory.
Now to figure out how to get that thing all the way here in the Philippines
OK, Im totally hooked on the super vr4 spoiler (the real one)
Im a bit frightened of the price mitsubishi will charge me for it
Any idea,s where i could purchase one for future reference
Hi guys. Only just found this thread.
Here are a couple of pics of the wing on mine which is the same as the top pic in the original post.
I've been told by the local mitzi dealers that they believe it to be a 'Ralliart' option available through the dealers in Japland at the time of purchase........ie an 'upgrade' option.
In my case, it formed part of an option package called the 'sport pack' which included the wing, red Momo steering wheel, Recaro seats and maybe other bits and pieces.........not sure of all that was part of that option though.
The interior stuff is quite similar to some parts of the 'super VR4' interior without the red carpets and red handbrake/gear selector etc.
Anyway here are the pics. Hope that may help a little.
Nice pix there, spoiler lox good but then again the GALANT looks better than them wardrobe carriers anydayOriginally Posted by VR4 MAD
Cheers. I like it anyway (which is the whole point.....silly to get a car you don't like the look of.......... duh ) but the downside is the car doesn't have as much "stealth" value as it would without it. But hey, them's is the breaks.......Originally Posted by caishanvr4
Also, I've only ever seen one other Galant over here with the same wing and it wasn't even a VR4 either.....just some GDI thing. And considering VR4s are starting to get really really common around NZ now, it has some uniqueness value I suppose.
A word of caution while I think of it. One side effect of these larger wings is the additional weight on the boot lid. Quite noticeable when opening and closing it. Not a problem opening but for the unwary (friends family etc) letting the boot go and free fall shut isn't advisable..............thump/bang Bugger! Not good.
