Not a bad idea, I can't see any disadvantage at all to driving down to taupo on Saturday, then getting up at 5am to drive back. (not being sarcastic at all, fully serious)
If anyone else from Auckland is keen then I'll do it

and dont you work on saturdays anymore brad?
not at the new job
Cheers Brad. Didn't want to undermine your workshop day. Remember to keep the camera working as there must be a 'howto' guide or two possible out of all those tasks listed.Originally Posted by bradc
Anyway, I'll start a new thread suggesting a meet at the Taupo drags to see what interest there maybe from your end and ours.
Some of us Welly guys, mainly those who didn't make last weekends mini meet are getting together this afternoon and I'll mention it to them to get an idea of potential interest and numbers from this end.
I was more thinking of an early morning drive up (down) and drive back in the evening, but if enough people wanted to stay overnight then we could do a group booking/share some accommodation thing to help keep costs down maybe.Originally Posted by bradc
Anyway I'll stop hijacking this thread and get a new thread started later.

"10am at Gull on Te Irirangi " Where exactly is this. Can you post a map image.
We work to live, and to live is to drive a VR-4, around corners at speed. But it costs see here
Richard, you know where Te Irirangi drive is right? The gull on there is about 3km from the Botany Town Centre. From your house it would be easiest to go down the South Eastern motorway, turn right at Te Irirangi, and look out for the Gull on your right, then do a U turn to get into it
It's around HEREOriginally Posted by KiwiTT

c'on people! You can do it! I would like to meet you all! It will be max a $200 around trip plus entry! You know you want to!!!!

I'm keen, but i'm not going by myself, and 99% of my other mates have gone off cars
If we drive down on Satuday morning, and back when it finishes at 6:30 / 7:00 that should be easy enough, and it cost me like $42 to drive to taupo after Xmas.
HKS 7 second Skyline, you know you want to..
What time are the wellington bunch thinking of geting there?
so what time and meet place for the workshop day?
I'll be over around 8o'clockOriginally Posted by Gly

Hmm maybe not. How about you try and get a few gauge pods ready? I'm quite keen to install boost and trans temp gauges into the white vr-4
got anything to solder some wires together brad??
also, off topic, but is paying $70 too much for a dvd writer?
nah bro, sounds bout right for a dvd writer these days... i brought mine for $300+ when they first came out. still goin hard too! (3-4 years ago now)
VR-4
$54+gst is wholesale, so $70 isn't bad.
