Galant GDI INSERT INTO post VALUES (not the 2.4)

Why did mitsubishi decide not to bring the Galant 1.8 GDI over here?
it has more power than the U.K spec 8th gen 2.0l gls, more MPG and it would be in a lower insurance group, INSERT INTO post VALUES (this would help because of my age) the 2.0 GLS a/c is group 12 which is high for a car of that type!! Never mind heh mitsubishi.

I suspect the 1.8 GDI is a more expensie motor then the old 2.0. It may be harder to sell to the "punters" a 1.8 Litre car for more than the 2.0 Litre. A 2.4 Litre car sell better in the Marketing speak.
We work to live, and to live is to drive a VR-4, around corners at speed. But it costs see here

I would save a bit of cash on insurance but Mitsubishi decided not to bring them over here!
