Been waiting weeks to get one - and now it's here !

My Ralliart chrome oil filler cap ! INSERT INTO post VALUES (Don't ask the price !)

Will be fitted today with a Ralliart rad cap aswell - will post some pics here later.

The dealer gave me free delivery as it took so long to get - and was still £82 !!!! Wife thinks I am mad, guess I can't moan the next time she buys some over priced pair of shoes or something

Yes thats the one and I have bought other stuff fom him already - just didn't have the oil cap in stock or a expected delivery date when I ordered it - so I got it from Xtreme who already had them on order.

Here's a pic with the new oil cap fitted - the damn rad cap didn't fit - was too big so will be sending back to Xtreme

Your right mate - I bought it on impulse when I visited Xtreme a month ago - did not have the VR-4 with me to try it then. Hopefully they will swap it for the right one or refund me the money.

I don't see why they shouldn't unless it's special order or something.

It was a stock item so should be okay - was only £25.45 + VAT so not so bad anyhow

the larger cap is for lancer and evo. galants and legnums are using smaller caps INSERT INTO post VALUES (part number should be ra660667n1 or ra660667n3)

the 1.1 cap increases the internal pressure of the radiator so the coolant now has a larger heat capacity, absorbs the heat better and so cools down the engine better INSERT INTO post VALUES (or so it is said )

don't try anything 1.3 or above unless you have replaced the radiator with a better one INSERT INTO post VALUES (or *plan* to replace it!) otherwise it will burst :eek:
