Zero to 60 time from 60' Time

    60' to 0-60 conversion
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2.3 second 60' time = 35.5 mph @60' = 7.0 second 0-60 time
    2.2 second 60' time = 37.1 mph @60' = 6.5 second 0-60 time
    2.1 second 60' time = 38.9 mph @60' = 5.9 second 0-60 time
    2.0 second 60' time = 40.9 mph @60' = 5.2 second 0-60 time
    1.9 second 60' time = 43.0 mph @60' = 4.6 second 0-60 time
    1.8 second 60' time = 45.5 mph @60' = 4.0 second 0-60 time
    1.7 second 60' time = 48.1 mph @60' = 3.4 second 0-60 time
    1.6 second 60' time = 51.1 mph @60' = 2.9 second 0-60 time
    1.5 second 60' time = 54.5 mph @60' = 2.2 second 0-60 time
    1.4 second 60' time = 58.4 mph @60' = 1.5 second 0-60 time
    1.36 second 60' time = 60.0 mph @60' = 1.36 second 0-60 time
    1.3 second 60' time = 62.9 mph @60' = 1.2 second 0-60 time
    1.2 second 60' time = 68.1 mph @60' = 1.1 second 0-60 time
    1.1 second 60' time = 74.3 mph @60' = 0.9 second 0-60 time
    1.0 second 60' time = 81.8 mph @60' = 0.7 second 0-60 time

    It seems pretty accurate...

    What do you think?

    Are you saying

time taken to travel 60 feet = 2.3 Seconds equates to a 0-60 MPH time of 7.0 Seconds.

Sounds interesting, but how do you measure the 60 feet point mph. is this something you have to do on a drag strip with proper timeing gear.

    Bye for Now!

Most Drag strips give you a 60ft timing point so from that you have to extrapulate the 0-60 time

My best 1/4 mile gave a 60' time of 1.845. My best Gtech 0-60 is 4.8something. I believe the g-tech to be very slightly optimistic - i.e. my 4.8 is really a 4.9 or so. But the calculator seems to be even more optimistic - with a 1.845 60', my 0-60 is calculated as 4.3-4.4. I'd like to believe that, but I don't!

Maybe it is better for 2WD cars, where the traction off the line is not so good? So your 60' times will be slower even for a faster car. That was definitely my experience when lined up against Zentacs pocket rocket!!

Are those calculations for AWD, RWD or FWD ?
    In my 8G I've done a best 60' of 1.974 (13.938 @ 99.112)...stock clutch.
So that should be about 5 second 0 - 60mph ? I bet I could go quicker with a better clutch.

    In my 7G, my best recorded 60' is 1.735 (12.720 @ 106.89) That same day my other 60" times were 1.737 & 1.736, how's that for consistency ?
    My 0 - 60mph time should be about 3.6 seconds ?

    Valmes, what's your average 60' ?

I think though to use a formula to calculate these , the car would need to accelerate at a constant rate which it does not.

Therefore theres going to be some inaccuracies.

That info is from www.corvetteforum.com so must work best for 2WD cars.

Dunno my 60' since dragstrip with a proper equipment is not there yet... (if everything goes right we will open it on July 30th ) However all other times (12.7-12.8) seem to be close to 1.8-1.9 mark... that's somewhere from 4 to 4.6 sec. 0-60mph and my best 0-100kph was 4.48 (0-62mph) or 4.26 sec 0-60mph ... quite close.

To tell you the truth I was trying to calculate my 60' times using this formula and also wanted to know how fast is the Twin Turbo Corvette I am taking care of rihght now... it's best 60' time is 1.25 ... so according to this chart it is making 0-60 in less than 1.2 sec! BTW check it out ... I was always jelous of you guys going to the "Ring", so we've decided to build our own :

It's 850m+100m sand trap (with 100m dragstrip start zone separated from main straight) and 750 from turn to turn. Total track length is 2 km.

PS: sorry bradc I previously stated the wrong info...
