.. or have I missed something. It now appears each time I open my link to the forum, I get presented with the 404 page. Clicking on the link on that page takes me to where I wanted to be in the first place. I've checked my links and they are definitely pointing to the correct page. WTF is going on here

Nope. Cleaned the cookies and created a new link. Thought it was Ok first time I used it (yesterday), I'm back to where I was with the 404 page today. Its happning on both my home and works PC so don't think its PC based problem as one is XP Pro, the other XP Home.

So I entered my details, including the remember me check box. Next time, I get sent to the 404 page. So is it something to do with the login credentials?

And the good news is that by setting the links to go straight to the forums page, all is OK. So the problem appears to be when the link is the site home page only.
