    Do I need new Hoses?

    Hey,

My Brembos (so cool) just arrived and are being fitted by Woking Mitsubishi next Tues. Do I need to order new hoses? If so (or even a good idea), which ones do I want and where should I get them? -Or should I just leave it to Mits to sort out on Tues?

    Cheers

    Phil.

A set of Evo 7 Braided hoses will be ideal (Goodridge on ebay)

you can use stock front hose's

and you NEED evo 5+ rear hose's

also make sure you have the bolts that bolt the brembo calipers to the hubs,
and the legnum/galant ones are a different thread/size.

and the rear brake dust guards need to me removed or trimed

Think I will be able to take the chance that Mitsubishi (is ralliart garage) will know this stuff and have the hoses or get all the stuff before I go there?

I would be inclined to get the stuff.... Not many Mitsubishi garages have intimate knowledge of the VR-4 - especially when conversions and non standard parts are concerned! I'd perhaps give 'em a ring and confirm.

I thought the rears could be used if they were stretched a little bit.

You are right Bern, it;s the fronts that are different.

the front vr4 hoses use a banjo bolt connection,
as do the front evo brembos,

the vr4 rear hoses have a NPT fitting
the rear evo brembos use a banjo connection,

you should use the evo REAR lines. evo 5+ lines fit.

the front vr4 lines are fine. on evo brembos

So I got some Goodridge Evo hoses, I will take them along with me to the Mits garage and give them to the mechanics. Looking forward to getting the new brembos fitted.
