The Driver's Survival Handbook - worth the money?

Whilst flicking through the paper I saw an advert for something that first of all struck me as the usual advert for various cons/garbage but upon closer inspection, actually got me thinking about purchasing...

    ... http://www.drivershandbook.co.uk

It's called the 'Driver's Survival Handbook' and is apparently the product of an ex-traffic copper. According to the website this book contains some pretty interesting information when it comes to dealing with the police... and lets face it, this is a forum for performance car owners, so there might be a couple of us at the thick end of speeding offences.

What I'm wondering is if anybody has a copy of this and if they'd actually recommend it? Not only that but I'd be interested to know if what it claims is in fact true and it's as useful as it says it is...

... even if nobody does own it, I'd still be interested to see what folks think about the whole deal.

    So please, fire away folks.

    Cheers!
    VR4 young team!

It's been a crazy year, But through all the damage done,
I have turned and I have learned, To make next year a better one,
    Singing Oh Hallelujah,
    Singing Oh I am home.

Is it even possible to speed in a 2.0GLS?

Naa, I'm not promoting the book or promoting being a prat with the car but I'm just curious to see if it's really what it says it is? You do agree that some of the stuff it's claiming is pretty big, right?

At the end of the day, if you're really a danger on the road I believe the law will take you off it, loopholes or not.

As for the little bits, it can mean a stupid mistake doesn't blow up into a doubled insurance premium or a crazy fine.

Why not spend the money on better tuition to avoid "stupid mistakes" rather than trying to find ways of wasting court time?

Easy mate, we're all amigos here.

I'll put you in the 'not worth the money' gang then, yeah...

    ...

As for that GLS, my old man had one back in the day and I freakin' adored that thing. Didn't ever get a chance to drive her but seriously - it's the reason I busted my hump to get a VR4.

I bought a copy a few years back (cannot remember which edition), and thought it was useful.
