Right, thoes pipes are power steering pipes, I'm not too sure which bits you'll need, but if it's the bit I'm thinking of, you'll have to wait till we drop the engine to get to it.... it splits off and winds out over the gearbox.

sweet as, no rush mate, they been like that for a while now and i haven't noticed anything detrimental.
though it sounds like it would be a mission to fit if you have to drop the engine out to take it off, then probably similar to put them on?
I would assume so, from the pic you posted up, they seem to be just after a rubber join in the line.
that though had already crossed my mind when i thought it was transmission related piping.. but didn't really want to hack it off incase the tiny shavings got into the gearbox... but if its power steering related then what is it? hydrolic fluid or something? always better to get an original part than patch it up...
so back to the rubber pipe section, would a short section of vaccuum hose with a couple of worm drive clips do the trick?
or do you think the fluid would get to pressurised and bulge the piping? crushed section is about 3inch long but you could pull them almost together i imagine.
If you look up further towards the engine side of the pipe, you'll see that it is joined by a section of rubber hose, so you can remove it from the cooler section in front of the intercooler.
I would say that it's fine the way it is now, but if it's bothering you that much, grab some Samco fuel and oil proof lines and cut the section you don't want out, then join it together.
Drain your power steer fluid first, then you'll have to fill it up again and make sure to get any air out of the lines.
what condition are the headlights, front bumper and foglights in?? and do u ship to the US... i sent a PM a while agoOriginally Posted by djb160
Sorry I didn't get the PM, don't know why. Only one foglight survived. The rest of the front was mashed rather well.
I'm not arguing...I'm just offering an endless series of contrary points of view.
Yea.... the one headlight that was still on the car was f***ed
Just goes to show that if you want intact headlights DON'T crash the front of your car.
All going well, the car will be shifted on saturday
Cool. If you get a chance can you yank out the t-piece from the boost gauge, as Ive put it on trademe and forgot about it still being in the car.
yea, I'll see if I can grab it tomorrow sometime
Thanks a million
How much for the headunit ?
No money on my phone. Have you checked that it still works? I dont think it's been tried since the crash.
He fixed it, so it works now
He ?
The dude who's takin the car apart
Dunno, not much then. It can't be worth much. What's whoever wants it willing to pay realistically?
bout $30
