    'International' Kit Car Show disappointment

This was held at Stoneleigh (Near Coventry) this Bank Holiday weekend. The wife & I went along on Monday at about 13:30. Got charged full entry free, and by about 3pm most of the stands were starting to pack up FFS

Ad promised '5000 cars' to see - 5000 my arse - club stands were virtually empty! Apparently it was much busier on the Sunday, but so what - if you're still charging full price on the Monday, you should be providing the same experience.

I won't be going back next year .

Anyway, managed to have a good look at the Dax kit I'm interested in. Torn between them and Caterham. Caterham are quite a bit more expensive though, and the Dax have that trick anti-camber suspension....

All I need is some money to buy the kit, a new house, and a garage big enough!!!!

Well that sound a bit poo TBh bern..... you should complain to the events organisers and ask for some of your money back, if not a full refund.

After all, it is false advertising on their part and no fault of yours that the show wasn't up to par.

So, how come you want a kit car as a kit all of a sudden? Whats wrong with buying an ex-academy Caterham or one of the many used kit cars from pistonheads, fastroadanddriving or the many other websites for such things?

I was thinking of going to that to, bit cheeky charging full wack for half a show. I wanted to checkout GT40's. Still no chance of me ever being able afford one soon..

Because I want to build one you car-torching frog-loving decorticate excuse for the missing link . Something to keep me occupied.

Stuey, you are a man (or lady ) after my own heart. I managed to find 2 complete GT40's, and one shell. BA! And the GT40 was one of the reasons I went too - I wanted to see if they looked as good in the flesh as in the pics. Not terribly impressed with what I saw.

Think I will take lillysausagehorder's advice and see if I can find someone to complain to. At least I'll get to vent my spleen!

On the GT40 front, this looks a bargain, finishes any minute tho.

Now look here young sheepshafter.... I can just about cope with the sausage remarks..... But to tease me with the fact that you can " vent your spleen" is most unfair. Us spleenless people have to make do with just plain ranting.

Pfft! Build schmild, buy it and drive it, do running repairs as and when or...
Is your hair starting to go red?
Do you feel the urge to clean your car alot?
Do you spend ridiculous amounts on polishing materials?
Do you want a project to sit in the garage seemingly forever?
If so contact your doctor IMMEDIATELY.

I may have to take a petrol can leicester way.

Can't buy anything now - no cash, and nowhere to put it. New house first.
