    Lowering our G's is bad!

I've just change both rear bearings (~97K), and found the rear tyres to show significant wear on the outer edges (positive camber).

I've had the recommended lowering springs and bilstein shocks fitted, but
surely it should exhibit more negative camber? Is this right?

    Cheers,
    scc

did you have a wheel alignment after you lowered it?

every time you change the suspension in any way you should have it checked,
no questions about that! as every time you alter it you alter the alignment.

you probabilly have to much toe out which will ware the outer edge of the tyres,

from factory the rears should have -.2 to -1.2 degrees camber on the rear.
when lowering it can go up to as much as -3 degrees,
which will cause excessive ware on the insides.

you should not have any + camber on any of the wheels on the car unless theres someting seriously wrong with the car. (bent suspension? worn bushes? bent chassis?)

I had it 4 wheel aligned when I had it lowered, but they couldn't do much to the backs as they are not adjustable ?

I remember on my mates old 200sx that he had to get camber correction bolts...
Dunno if this applies to the leggy tho?
It will be mine, oh yes it WILL be mine!

    Assessing Hammond's crash:
Clarkson:"you can see from the tape that the tyre is starting to come apart. now why didnt you spot that?!"
Hammond:"I had a lot on: i was doing 288 mph."
Clarkson: "What do you mean you had a lot on? I can be in the office on the phone, doining the paperwork, kids are shouting at me, wife etc, if a lion walks in, I'm going to notice it!"

yes there is the aritcal that i wrote,

but thats to add + camber to fix - camber....

are you sure that its a + camber issue and not a +toe issue?

do you have the report from the alignment guys.
because it should have - camber and alot if its significantly lowered.

there is no factory adjustment on camber on our cars at all.
only toe in/out can be adjusted.

and no camber bolts will not work on our cars.

I thought it was only the VR-4s that were adustable at the rear. SCC is driving a Sport Saloon.
