My legnum is back on the road after two years laid up in mothballs in a hangar!
Anyone beat £250.09 fully comp with £150 excess at Admiral? All mods declared (SS Exhaust, HKS filter, non-standard alloys, carbon bonnet). 'VR4' is even listed in their dropdowns for Mitsu galant models.
I've just taken out a multi-car policy with them, both my Citroen XM (TPFT) and VR4 (fully comp) are now insured for a total of £380 (less than I paid for just my VR4 two yrs ago with Pace Ward).
Have I missed something or has there just been some drastic reductions in VR4 premiums since I last got quotes 2 yrs ago? The chap I spoke to at Admiral reckons these multi-car policies are proving extremely popular at the moment.

Nice to see you back on here Nigel!
And nope. I can't beat any of those!
oh Nigel!! - glad to hear cars working again...
/end-hijack.
Thanks Nick & Barry
It's good to get the old girl back on the road - at £250 insured it would be criminal not to. A nice new Carbon Culture cf bonnet (that fits beautifully btw) and a (very loud) shiny custom stainless exhaust (no silencers apart from the back box) has been lavished upon her in the last two weeks.
If anyone gets bored of their VR4 - just lay it up for two years and drive citroens. When you drive your VR4 once more it's like the day you first got it all over again. Happy days.
Oh, and I've moved to Scotland btw. (Leuchars, Fife).
im sure nick wont mind us hijacking to much
Its really good to see you Nigel!.. its amazing to hear you still there with your vr4, im a bit shocked tbh... also thanks for the support and becoming a member!.. I hope you can make it to one of the events before the end of the year - would be cool to see you!
Good Lord! Nige is back in the Madhouse! Welcome home Sir!!

Strange.
But you did mention the 'L' word to them.
They insured me fine, although I always describe my car as a Galant VR4 Estate (not many general insurers have 'Legnum' listed and you often get a 'little britain' reply from the sales staff - 'computer says nooo'.
Also note that I took out a multi-car policy; that may be relevant as it decreases their risk as they know I do not drive the VR4 all the time.
you guys getting insurance quotes of around £200-300, here its running into £1000s
Erm, I don't want to be a killjoy Nigel but you will not get a payout if you claim. You have not advised them of the correc vehicle details and there is an insurance difference between a Galant Estate VR-4 and a Legnum VR-4 as the Legnum is an import.
I would recommend a cautious attempt at quoting against the correct details as I'd rather spend an extra £100/year than get nothing at all should I need a claim.

Thanks, I quite understand your caution beastlee.
Jap import insurance sure is a minefield that requires hours to crack to find the best provider and know exactly what you're paying for.
Don't worry - It's defo listed as an import.
Only trouble was 'flamer' was not listed on the predefined declared mods sheet?
