    Greetings from Iceland!

Hey you all, I'd like to introduce myself, I own a Europe Spec Galant

    Year: 2000
    Engine: 4G63 N/A SOHC
    Mileage: 139.000km's
    LHD/RHD: LHD
    A/T
    Leather
    Sunroof

I know this is only for the VR4's.. But I'm very interested in those cars, but sadly, we are lhd here, so the only specs we can get is the 4g63, 4g63 GDI and the 6a13 8g's, and those are all fwd.

I haven't heard of any LHD VR4 8G's, I have been looking and searching, and haven't even found some fwd 6a13tt (some that have then just gotten a turbo setup on it), would be interested in seeing that, and knowing how it works. or even if there's someone that has done a rhd to lhd conversion.

I'm looking into buying a 8G around next year, A 2001-2003 with low mileage. Then it would probably be a 5Speed.
So I'm starting to look around for any specs that are possible for me to get.

    I'll see you around!

There are a few LHD converted VR-4's, probably the best way to go is with a v6 manual fwd if you are happy to stay with a fwd, or get a rhd VR-4 and combine two cars to make one

I like your car at the moment, those wheels are especially nice!

    Good looking car!

I've got an 8G Galant lefthand drive (V6 model orginally though) with a VR4 engineswap. Because the orginal V6 (non turbo) engine had the proper mountingpoints and that kind of stuff the swap (done by the previous owner) was 'do-able'. If this is (even) harder in your case... I think so, but not sure.

As for your 4G63 engine... you might also want to consider swapping your engine with a 4G63T block from any EVO IV and upwards!! Those are basically bolt-ons and can get you loads of power too!

(I'll be swapping the 4G63 from my old 6G (1992) for a 4G63T from the old VR4 in a couple of months).

Welcome to the club, its not just for VR4s, ANY galant owners are welcome.

The VR4 was only ever made in RHD, to to get one will involve converting a RHD to a LHD car if you want 4WD or converting a LHD car by transplanting the engine and keeping it FWD.
You can convert FWD to 4WD, but the floorpans are totally different, so it involves a LOT of chassis work to let the propshaft fit underneath.
    No longer empty and frantic...

Thanks everybody.. for your compliments, for everything! looking forward to learn more about this.. sounds really interesting what you got MarkSanne, I'm interested in how this setup is working for you, how the front wheels are handling that power, and if it would actually be possible if I had a 6a13 engine with low mileage, if I could hook it up with the turbo's and the intercooler? I'd probably need more parts, but it would be worth it.
