I can't tell you, but I know it would be close. The output shaft of the gearbox is identical, and the bolt holes on the bell housing look to be in the same place.

They do look the same, it would be nice to know.

    Guys...
If you look at the picture more carefully, you'll see, that this thing looks to be from LHD EVO !?

I'm not really sure, but maybe japan evo6 transcase will fit on ours gearbox???

And one Q: what is the benefit of that kind of modification?

Is there any difference? I would be surprised if there is.

There will be no difference between LHD and RHD.

Evo 1,2,3 had the gearbox on the Drivers side (RHD) so the tranfer box as seen in the pic would be the right way round.

From Evo 4 on, they changed the lay out and the transfer box is now the same at the VR4 one.

So if that is indeed a EVO 6 transfer box, then it is the right way round for our cars. And anyway as Barry correctly points out pic is upside down.

Just did a quick search to see if I could find a seven year old review I read (no luck) but I distinctly remember the writer mentioning the evo 5

The rear diff (ayc) is from the evo 5 so it wouldnt surprise me at all, in fact it would stand to reason. I was pretty darn sure that the guy who wrote that article said that the vr4 has evo 5 running gear. I've been laughed out a few times, but that's only because half the wally's running the lego shops are to chicken to touch the vr4!
