Me too Pete ........... always wanted to 'do' Spa ......... especially at Lewis's speed!
Ditto Pete. Such a fantastic track, I remember every corner!
I was impressed to see that most of the guys were able to take Eau Rouge at the same speed as me ...
And on that straight after Eau Rouge they were touching 200mph whereas I think we were hitting more like 110-120mph IIRC ... amazing!
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition
Yeah I think it was about 120, and I also remember braking considerably earlier than them before the next chicane
Isn't the key to driving like lewis down to underbreaking?
But then thats in a different car I guess. I don't think spinning your VR4 across track would be the best idea lol
Moving On
Saw pole position lap - Kimi was 70mph faster than me and Jimbo towards the bottom of Eau Rouge (its scary being a metre off the old pitlane straight wall at that speed) and along the Kemmel straight.
But there again Kimi didn't have a passenger or aircon
I do envy the way they can change direction and there lap times were over a minute quicker
H
Ahhh.....but F1 cars are too easy to drive arn't they Heath
It's all in the gearbox apparently.Originally Posted by Spirit
