    Question T-Bolt Clamps

    Are the Trademe ones junk?

We have a good trade account with a stainless fastener company ANZOR, so i went up there after work today to get some firm prices on proper style tbolt clamps...

and even after our (what i thought was quite decent) 70% discount, in 304 stainless, they still want 19.25ex GST EACH!! based on a buy of ten or more too..

So are the $5 nylock style trademe ones up to it? I'll be giving them a go regardless, since no way can i justify that sort of spend on clamps for the amount i need, but id really like some feedback from those using them

This is the style i mean, nylock instead of a bolt head, and a lot flimsier looking.

$19 does seem a bit steep! You are right about the trademe ones looking a bit flimsey, but then how could they really break and fall apart?

Yeah, its more the grade and quality of stainless, iv spent many hours changing "stainless 316" parts at work because they are made in china, and start to rust before they get in the water..

I'll go with them anyway, just because even if they do crap out i can change them as they break..

These are the ANZOR ones, they are certainly nice, but when i need 15-16 of them in various sizes, 19bucks doesnt fly..

TM ones seem fine. $19+GST is WAY over the top. You sure it isn't a box of 10 or something?

No no, thats each.. I guess they mustnt go through very high quantities or something. Its just weird since their prices on other stuff is usually competitive..

So thats settled, i'll be getting some trade me ones shortly, along with a bunch of silicone joiners/reducers, hoses and other odds and ends.

If anyone else wants to tag themselves on to save freight PM and let me know, might be able to get a better price too.
