    Insurance renewal

Got the renewal for my insurance today, and it seems I didn't note that my car had a different front bumper, or the teins in the policy.

They are insisting that I give them a value for both... Anyone here have any idea what they are worth? The bumper has been bogged over so many times as it keeps getting hit on things... and I have no idea what the suspension is worth...

    Any ideas?

around $500-$1000 for the teins (second hand value)
and maybe $500 for the bumper?

i wouldnt put it to high or they will screw you for more money, or raise your excess.

My premium last year was $83.53. They had dropped it to $69.70 per month, and with the mods noted it goes back up to $84.83. So not bad at all.

When I move to Onehunga, and its no longer garaged it goes up to $94.68 if I park it in the apartment complex, and $98.63 if I park it on the side of the street.

So not a bad result! Thanks for the input guys.

Do you have a house insured with them or anything? You're a bit older than me too. I got to the magic 25 when everything is supposed to get cheaper, and promptly lost my licence hehe OOPS!

I was paying just under $80 a month through state, but with a massive excess. Then I lost my licence and they wouldn't touch me.

It's through Insure Direct (Inbroke) now and my excess is less than half what it was.

I think its insured for $16k? I might look at lowering that a bit.

40 buck a month! And thats with state, insured for $20,000 and they know about all my mods too. Plus the excess is only $500 that came down when i turned 25.
I only speed when i overtake, so i don't spend to much time on the wrong side of the road!!!!!

I'm with state on about 180 bux a month. Bunch of friggen ripoffs. Mine isn't even turbo, it's just a high risk car, they say. With my VR4 conversion coming up, I'm not sure if they will keep me. I'm thinking of changing to someone else aswell.

Is anyone here with pioneer? What do you think of them? My mate is suggesting them to me.
