Does the turbos kicks on in a sequence (one earlier and then other joins later)
and what revs do they start to boost (together or if in sequence then what revs each of them kicks in)

The turbos on the 6A13 are what is called twin simultaneous (or parallel) turbos, that is each cylinder bank drives its own turbo, which are both working at the same time.Originally Posted by Nevman
On a standard car you should be producing boost by 2500RPM and get full boost by about 3000RPM.
With a decent exhaust, you can have standard full boost by 2500RPM and over 1 bar by 3000RPM.
They work both together - One per bank of cylinders and they both spool at the same time.
As for when they start to produce boost.... I can't be sure but looking at the power/torque curves for these engines, they're almost on peak torque by 2000rpm and the torque curve only drops significantly after 5500rpm.
So I would say the spool RPM is between 1500-2000rpm on full throttle.
Thanks guys. I've just been pointed out for posting incorrect info on polish forum and needed to check. Looks like I was wrong. Thanks for the info.
Now it's time to bite the bullet on polish forum...
