I think the cruise control lever should be on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Looking at the pics, it seems that the lever would be upside down for us?
Is this still ok to go in our cars?

Best to check it out. I'm pretty sure they can supply ones that go on the otherside of the steering wheel.Originally Posted by Mark 4
Where does the cruise lever normally go in our galants?
I'm not convinced that the lever should be on the left handside.

Yep, it's on the right as standard. Same as the indicators.Originally Posted by scc
Standard factory fit cruise on ours came on a neat lever just below the steering wheel on the right (the 4-spoke style steering wheel on early V6-24V and leather VR4s)...Originally Posted by Kieran
After market dealer fit can only be fitted on the left (because of the stalk style) - Mine is on the left, the side of the wipers, and just behind the wiper stalk on the steering block.
Below is a photo of the standard factory fit (detailed above) - you can see the standard fit cruise control on the right hand side of the steering wheel, between the middle and bottom right 'hand grips' of the wheel.
Yeah, I'm still in. Please PM me what info you need / or details of the group buy agreement if it's a case of ordering separately. Cheers.

Looking at my dealer fit one, there's a fat sticker on there stating the company in America that makes and supplies Mitsubishi's ones... Can let you know the name of that firm if its a help when I'm back home this evening...Originally Posted by jayjay99

Fabulous! Must say these ones are a doddle to use - and you just 'touch' the buttons and they repond... My 6G Galant's cruise, which was factory fit as part of the Diamond Option Pack, you hand to forcefully press and hold the buttons.Originally Posted by jayjay99
Best bit on this system is if you are doing 50mph - and you want to knoch down to 45, hit the top button on the stalk 5 times and it decreases your speed by 5mph!
