Don't really know you dude, and wasn't aware that you were the founder, but from one of the less regular members thanks for all the informative/amusing posts. There's got to be hundreds of people like me who would be feeling there way in the dark (or just paying loads of money to a garage) if it weren't for the time people like you take to share the knowledge.
Good luck for the future.
Sorry to here this mate. I would, like many others, like to thank you for founding such a fantastic club. This site provides a daily source of entertainment and information. (Some would say I should be working ). Anyway good luck in the future.
It would be hard to leave behind such a great bunch of people so there must be a bloody good reason. Hope you keep well man, good luck.
I really wish he could see all of these words and hadn't gone and done this!!
I'll make sure I copy and paste this page to him.
Moving On
But, but, but....
Words fail me.
Whatever your reasons Barry good luck, but dont be a stranger round here, PLEASE!
No longer empty and frantic...
Sorry to hear this Barry
I will really miss our "during work hours" chats about anti roll bars and the like ...
A big, big thank you from me personally for all the work you have done for this club, it truly is a wonderful achievement and I would like to wish you all the best for whatever you decide to persue going forward.
Take care fella ...

All good things come to an end and life trundles on at its own pace. What you started will live on with your memory burning bright.
There will be many more come and go through the forum, some will stay a while and some may make a name for themselves, just as you have.
Its only a sad day if you are leaving with regrets, otherwise look to the future and enjoy pastures new.

looking at this thread it is obvious that Barry will be greatly missed.
He must have a very very good reason why he has decided to take the steps he has and i think we can all respect his decision and just wish he all the best, and hope he is not a stanger.
I know what would make me bstop using the club and hope it is not that ,but it is very understandable.
I only meet Barry a couple of time but he is a really nice guy. Gutted!
Bye for Now!

As many of you know ........ I haven't been on the site for quite a while for personal reasons.
On reading this post from Barry my immediate reaction was that it must be April 1st, but alas it isn't, and we have all lost a dear friend.
ClubVR4 will go onwards and upwards without Barry but lets all remember that this site IS Barry ........ he did all the development work and also created the pleasant, family oriented feel to the site.
I'm personally of the opinion that it's not the site itself that will suffer but the Members who knew Barry and really, really enjoyed being with him at 'meets', trackdays and the like. I do hope he will reconsider this aspect and come to a few meets in 2008 and beyond.
On the other hand ......... maybe Barry is going to buy an Aston or such-like and will start a new forum! (Must go and count my pennies.)
All the very, very best for your future Barry.
